Number of women in the age group (20-29 years) who were first married before the legal age of marriage at a specific point of time / total number of women aged 20-29 in the population at the same time × 100.

Number of previously married females aged 20-29 / total females in the same age group x 100.

This indicator is useful in determining the prevalence of early marriage among females which badly affected the reproductive health of women and the health of the children.
